What can Gymnastics do for me?
Lots of things. Whether you want to move with grace and ease, have body control that athletes from a lot of other sports would die for, get strong, impress your friends with your skills, gain strength or just get a six pack......Gymnastics training can take you there.
Matt Baker, of Blue Peter and the One Show, takes it further and talks about how his work ethic was built via gymnastics here.
Do I have to be fit or a certain shape or height to do gymnastics?
There are gymnasts of all shapes and sizes in our gym and none have been held back by being a particular shape or height. Most people start in the gym with relatively low level of fitness. Fitness develops as part of the training.
What ages do you cater for?
At the moment anything from around 3 to 25. Note that those with Medial Condition may be asked for a Doctor's approval to participate.
Can you get me an Olympic Gold Medal?
No. Only you can do that with your dedication to Training. We are an excellent place to start down the path if that is your dream.
We are a Gymmark accredited by British Gymnastics, have very skilled and experienced coaches who have a history of producing regional champions and we are known for a friendly family atmosphere where kids look forward to coming to train.

Loose clothing like track suit bottoms or leggings and a long sleeved t-shirt, sweatshirt or track suit top. Avoid track suit tops or sweatshirts with dangley bits like the cords for adjusting the bottom or hood. Later on you would wear a leotard.
Do I need to book or can I just turn up?
You can just turn up for beginners sessions. Check the timings on the appropriate pages under the Gymnastics section.
You do need to fill in an application form before training (this includes taster sessions). Also see the question below about medical conditions.
I have a Medical Condition can I train with you?
You can as long as we have approval from your doctor. This should include your doctor's advice about any limitations around training. Disabilities are covered in the question below.
I'm not a beginner what class do I join?
The best thing to do is phone the gym (see number at the top of the page) and talk to a coach about what experience you have. From this the coach will be able to assess the best first session for you.
Do you have a Mailing List for News & Events?
Yes. You can join it using the form below and (if you ever want to) you can remove yourself from it using the "unsubscribe from mailing list" link at the bottom of any email you receive.
